BOXING WEIGHT DIVISIONS
Boxing weight divisions cleared up in a user-friendly guide.
Modern-era boxing’s 17 weight divisions can be a little baffling, especially when they have different names depending on who you ask. Are 130lb fighters Junior Lightweights or Super Featherweights? Are 160lb fighters Junior or Light Middleweights?
Both are correct in either case – but to avoid confusion at Boxing Base, we will never deviate from using more than one type of name to describe a fighter’s campaign weight.
Here’s a guide to understanding our different weight divisions (maximum weight in pounds, kilograms and stones, followed by division title). Women’s Weight Divisions are also listed, plus Amateur for both men and women.
