Joshua-Whyte - Tickets to see Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte sold out in just 6 hoursJoshua-Whyte Tickets Snatched Up in No Time

We all knew Joshua-Whyte would be a sell out – just not so quickly. According to Sky Sports, tickets for the eagerly awaited domestic dust-up have already been snapped up, within just six hours. This means Joshua (14-0, 14 KO) has now become one of Britain’s bona fide hottest attractions, alongside fighters like Kell Brook and Tyson Fury.

Joshua was recently hit by a couple of jabs from then-undefeated Gary Cornish before demolishing the Scotsman in 97 seconds. Last weekend’s headliner also featured Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KO), who took out veteran Brian Minto inside 3 rounds. Whyte, Joshua’s December opponent, failed to look quite as formidable, however.

There’s history between Joshua and Whyte, and it gets bounced around a fair bit in boxing fandom. Whyte may have beaten Joshua a hundred years ago in the Amateurs, but we all need to forget about it and start looking at what’s right in front of us: the fighter’s performances in the pro game. Who do we really think is the better fighter here? (cough, cough, Joshua…)

Kell Brook Plans on Surpassing Floyd Mayweather’s Record

It’s unlikely any fighter will surpass Floyd Mayweather in terms of earnings this decade, but men like Kell Brook still believe they have the potential to better his record. British Welterweight star, Brook, who cracked our P4P list when Mayweather departed, believes he is the man to best ‘Money’s’ 49-0 record. Brook currently stands at (35-0, 24 KO).

“I have worked tirelessly over my career to reach the top, and I am now getting to where I want to be – but the journey is only really beginning for me as I want to be the best in the World,” Brook told Boxing News.

“Floyd’s last fight on Saturday means that the door is open for someone to become boxing’s new mega-star – and I want to be that man. His 49-0 record is incredible and he leaves a phenomenal legacy behind, but I believe I can reach that pinnacle and go past it.”

Vasyl Lomachenko to Support Bradley-Rios

Vasyl Lomachenko (4-1, 2 KO) will be back in action on the Bradley-Rios underard, set to defend his WBO Featherweight title against Romulo Koasicha (25-4, 15 KO). The HBO co-feature isn’t terrible, but isn’t exactly a step up for Lomachenko. Given all the noise surrounding his masterful skills and Amateur background – which is no exaggeration – the guy really should be taking on better opposition.

Unless Top Rank chief Bob Arum genuinely couldn’t find him anyone better…

Erkan Teper to Face Robert Helenius in December

European champ Erkan Teper has his next Heavyweight challenger set and ready for (some time in) December. Teper (15-0, 10 KO), the heavy-handed mean-machine who blasted out Britian’s David Price back in July, will be taking on Robert Helenius (21-0, 13 KO), an unbeaten fighter who was once followed very closely.

This bout could well turn into something rather tasty, with the winner likely to be fed to an upcoming talent like Anthony Joshua. Right now, either man would provide a stern test for ol’ AJ, who recently destroyed supposed-test Gary Cornish in 1 round.

Thoughts on Joshua-Whyte and any of the above, fight fans?
