Cotto vs Canelo - Miguel Cotto set to face Canelo AlvarezCotto vs Canelo is officially on, folks! Negotiations are completely wrapped up, meaning both stars will be locking horns – and likely doing some serious damage – come November 21st. Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center will host the event, which we needn’t say will attract an awful lot of attention. This is the ‘Other Golovkin-Lemieux Fight’, if you will.

Neither fighter will need much introduction to most boxing fans. Miguel Cotto is the tried-and-tested warrior of the ring, quite likely a future Hall of Famer, and currently reigns as the WBC Middleweight champ. Most recently, Cotto (40-4, 33 KO) demolished Daniel Geale inside 4 rounds in June.

Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KO) is no slouch, either. The 25-year-old also carries TNT, has only suffered defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather, and will be looking to make this Puerto Rico vs Mexico a true classic. Alvarez is coming off his own demolition job: a 3rd round knockout of James Kirkland in May.

All the action will be broadcast to boxing fans on HBO PPV from 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.
