Crolla vs Perez II - Anthony Crolla promises to capture Darleys Perez's belt this time roundBritish hearts were broken in July when Anthony Crolla failed to land a much-deserved decision against WBA champ Darleys Perez. In most people’s eyes – certainly those here at BoxingBase.com – it was very hard to stomach the official Draw verdict.

But Crolla now has a second shot at redemption on November 21st, and the Mancunian plans to make the most of the opportunity, leaving with the belt this time round.

“I’m made up to have this opportunity and a second chance,” said Crolla in a press release. “A lot of people feel that I should already be a World champion but bad decisions happen in boxing. I’m one of those people to experience that but I’ve been given a second chance. I will leave nothing to doubt.

“We are expecting a better Darleys Perez but there will certainly be a better Anthony Crolla. I believe last time I fought well enough to win the fight and this time I will make sure I get the decision.

“It’s a special, special thing for me to be fighting in Manchester again. My walkout last time is something I will remember forever and that was one of the positives I can take from the night last time. I’ve only watched the actual fight itself once back so far, I will watch it more over the next nine weeks, but the entrance I’ve watched around 25 times.”

Crolla has a great shot at achieving his world title dreams, but will be in another tough fight against Perez, without doubt. Possibly even tougher given the controversy surrounding their first match-up.

This will likely be another Manchester sellout for Matchroom Boxing, especially if the undercard in any way mirrors last July’s. If Scott Quigg can once again provide chief support against a marquee name, boxing fans will be in for a true gem.

Stay tuned for more on the undercard as it materializes, folks.

Who are you picking in Anthony Crolla vs Darleys Perez II? Was Crolla robbed in their first encounter? And what will both men do differently – if anything – in November?
