With their highly anticipated showdown finally inked in for January, Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton went head-to-head at their first press conference in London. The boxers couldn’t resist exchanging some verbal barbs on stage, suggesting there is already bad blood building in this one.

The unification clash will see Frampton’s IBF title on the line, as well as Quigg’s WBA ‘Regular’ title (which, to sort of complicate things, will become the ‘Super’ variety since Guillermo Rigondeaux has now been stripped of the accolade). Going in, both men are unbeaten, with Frampton bringing 21 wins, 14 knockouts to the ring, and Quigg 31 wins, 2 draws, 23 knockouts.
